Our Work
Training and dissemination
At the Digital Autonomy Center, we believe that privacy and security should be accessible to everyone. That is why we seek to raise awareness about online risks and provide tools to stay protected.
Talks
We organize talks on key topics such as digital hygiene, community digital security, problems surrounding the use of the internet and the secure development of software. These talks are aimed at all types of audiences, from people with technical skills to activists and journalists who need to protect their work.
Workshops
Our practical workshops are focused on teaching specific skills and knowledge to face the challenges in the digital environment. Participants learn to identify the risks in insecure communications, manage secure passwords, use encrypted communication tools, navigate safely, encrypt devices and emails, among other topics.
Educommunication
We use communication as a tool to educate and raise awareness about the importance of digital rights. Through simple and attractive narratives, we seek to reach a wide and diverse audience. We use social media, produce podcasts and create printed material to spread clear and relevant messages about privacy and digital security. We use communication as a tool to educate and raise awareness about the importance of digital rights. Enigmail
-
Let's Encrypt
-
OTR, among others
Research
As a multidisciplinary group, at the Center for Digital Autonomy we investigate the challenges and threats to digital rights, especially in the context of the Latin America.
Digital Rights Observatory
It carries out permanent monitoring and researches public and private policies that regulate our interactions in digital environments. In addition, it is a space for denunciation and proposals against violations of digital rights by large technology platforms and government services.
