CAD signs interinstitutional agreement with Facultad de Ciencias Sociales y Humanas - UCE
In November 2022, the Digital Autonomy Center (CAD) began conversations with the authorities and teachers of the Faculty of Social and Human Sciences of the Central University of Ecuador in order to present our research project titled “State of the digital security of Ecuadorian civil society”. Already at that time, the possibility of establishing a form of collaboration was analyzed in order to broaden the scope of the research and give it a deeper social base.
As a result of that initial conversation, both parties were interested in formalizing an inter-institutional agreement to collaborate in different areas, including research and education on issues related to digital security and its close relationship with today’s society.
Finally, on Friday, January 27, 2023, CAD and the Faculty of Social and Human Sciences, represented by Sara Zambrano and Rafael Polo respectively, signed the agreement that will strengthen the ties of collaboration and joint work in order to build a better society, more informed and fully empowered of their digital rights.
CAD would like to thank the Faculty of Social and Human Sciences of the Central University of Ecuador for their openness to work with our team. We hope that the signing of this inter-institutional agreement is only the first step of many more aimed at improving the security and privacy of everyone.
